I want it all to go away -
The darkness, the shame.
I want Your name to be praised -
Glory
And if it's not too much to ask,
What I really would like
Is for this sadness to leave,
And Your joy to shine forth.
'Cause Christmas is coming,
Yet I've got a short list.
Yes, there's some worldly things on there,
But that's not it.
I want the world transformed.
I want it all fixed.
It's hard to be patient
For Your promise.
The depravity -
It irks me -
It makes me want to cry.
I can hardly wait
For Your day,
When light shines forth
To every corner,
And sin's gone away.
'Cause Christmas is coming,
Yet I've got a short list.
Yes, there's some worldly things on there,
But that's not it.
When will Your peace come?
When will Your joy shine forth?
When will love be all
That's known?
The disease of the world
Is spreading in me.
I want to be healed -
Oh, please.
Fix it -
God, I'm begging.
Let the Truth be known
Soon.
The weight of the world
Is bearing down on me.
Though the burden's not mine
To bear... Lord, help.
