Even Half

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I recently went down to LA. While there, I wrote a couple poems, and I would like to share one of them here.

Even Half

What a sad world we live in
With many poor and some rich
We live only miles from the needy
Yet often forget to care

We go on trips with our church,
We have a blast helping out
Then go home and getlazy and
Let others do what matters

If even half ofthe rich
Honestly cared
And did more than throw money
Around

If we helped more than on Christmas
If we built friendship and love
If even half of us put
Ourselves into it fully

If we loved without judging
If we did hug and converse
If we gave two kinds of food;
Both bread and the Truth

If even half of us showed
That we really cared
The world would be different
A place where love is shared.

Google decided to put a "sign out" button in the spot that some of us expect a "post comment" button. If you accidentally click "sign out," then you will lose everything you just wrote. I've done that several times right here, on my very own blog. Don't be like me. Pay attention to what you're clicking.
